Stacy’s Simply Naked Picture | An Experiment

What the heck does a picture of Stacy’s Simply Naked have to do with marketing?? I bet the clever marketing people from the Stacy?s? Pita Chip Company can answer that question.

I have a theory that needed to be tested.? My theory is that traffic does NOT equal conversions.? I remember that Jonathan Budd had posted a tweet that he had two girls sleeping in his bed with a link that led people to his cats that were resting on his bed.? If I remember correctly, he said that twitter message generated a crazy amount of clicks.? hmmm, wonder why…. 😉

For the purpose of this post, I wanted to make a point and see how many organic hits I could generate by using the title, Stacy’s simply naked picture in this blog post. I am going to analyze the number of hits that are unique to this blog post and look at how many visitors also clicked on my internet command system link to claim a complimentary copy of my Special Report.? I will post my results later this week.

I have found it relatively easy to generate a decent amount of traffic. However, generating traffic is not really the issue, its’ whether the traffic? is generating CLICKS aka traffic conversion.

Conversion ratio in it’s basic element is how many people who visit your site will actually buy from you or provide you with their primary email address.? So, when you post clever or provocative tweets or controversial subject lines you will generate more clicks than average but I am willing to bet that you will not experience a higher conversion ratio.

Unfortunately, a boring subject line or lousy ad copy will result in no one seeing your content.? So, you have to have the right combination of catchy ad copy and great value to be successful online.?
